The ‘Protection and Rights’ project helps families to protect and secure the rights of their children with disabilities throughout their lives.

The aim of this project is to inform, support and disseminate useful material to protect and guarantee not only the child’s care but their lifelong journey.

A.B.C. wants to stand by families, respond to their needs and accompany them.

For this reason, the Association has drawn up a specific guide on the rights and benefits provided for by the Italian Law 104/92, particularly in schools, and has set up a free family advice service “Ask a Lawyer” (“l’Avvocato risponde”).

Who is the project aimed at?

The project is aimed at all families who need support regarding the benefits and rights enshrined in the Law 104/92. It also aims to be a useful tool supporting all professionals involved in the care of children.

What kind of tools does it involve?

  • Specific guidance on Law 104/92
The Association has written a specific guide on the Italian Law 104/92 in collaboration with a lawyer, which can be a tool to support families and all professionals who care for children during their development. The guide was presented during the Association’s first webinar, which took place online, on 16 November 2021, on Zoom. If you missed the appointment and would like to access this content, don’t worry! Keep an eye on the Association’s website and Facebook page, and save the date of other webinars, which will take place in the next few months.
  • The “Ask a Lawyer” service

The association has decided to set up a service for families to ask specific questions to an experienced lawyer about children and their experiences. If you are a parent and have a question to ask the lawyer, please write us an email at: tutelaediritti@abcburlo.it and we will address your question to the lawyer.

Has the question already been asked? Please find below the questions that have already been asked to the lawyer: we hope they will be useful!
